Frequently Asked Questions

Isn't this the same advice that has already been circulating?

No, there are very subtle, but  important differences in our approach. Based on our personal medical experiences as health care providers, we disagree with some of the messaging to date.   We support a simplified approach to public guidance:

  1. Use of masks -or- social distancing;
  2. Hand washing; and,
  3. Temperature checks daily.

Are you trying to raise money?

No.  Our goal is only to raise public awareness. But if you do wish to donate, we will provide you with a list of charities we have vetted that are working to  mitigate the pain and suffering caused by this pandemic.

Isn't the virus just going to come back in 30 days?

Maybe. Right now, the disease has spread to an extent that it is no longer possible  to do effective contact tracing.  This is what forces authorities to order mandatory lock-downs, something we desperately want to avoid. This challenge is a path to containing the spread of this virus.  It gives the local authorities a chance to ramp up effective strategies for containment.

If I regularly wash my hands, is that enough hand hygiene?

No.This challenge also requires hand sanitation immediately prior to food or beverage consumption. This means, for example, after you're seated at the table and after you've adjusted your seat and you're about to take your first bite, you take a moment to sanitize your hands. It is the last safety net to prevent contact disease transmission.
